Icon.SH is Nike’s in-house production studio that leverages world class expertise and capabilities to unlock China-right content at daily speed and extensive scale. The studio is seeking a product planning and logistics Manager to oversee product throughput – from building up the right SOPs to end-to-end management of every piece of product that we will shoot.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a highly driven individual to operationalize inventory space by organizing, tracking, and securing product in a location that can serve all categories and functions over the full lifecycle of the product.

The Product Planning and Logistics Manager is responsible for establishing and operating a best-in-class inventory management process; from preseason forecasting, to deliver and ultimately post-season recapping.

  • You will develop and execute strategies to increase image completion/readiness and accuracy.

  • You will monitor progress, identify, and preemptively solve bottlenecks and other challenges before they happen, and report to key stakeholders.

  • You will monitor, leverage, and develop new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) when needed.

  • You will create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).

  • You will partner with various members of the studio team as needed to facilitate the timely and accurate delivery of merchandise to set.

  • You will contribute to policies and protocols to ensure proper gatekeeping, safety, security, and risk minimization of Icon.SH.

The ideal candidate needs to have capability to steward the product in the facility through its lifecycle including delivery receipt, unboxing, organizing, storing, retrieving delivery of product and strategically facilitate pre-production. This candidate will have proven track record of developing and leading a team culture of continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

During the buildout of Icon.SH, you will be leading the foundational work that includes:

  • Collaborating cross-departmentally with Global and Greater China based Planning/Ordering, Client Services, Styling, Production, Live Stream, and Post-Production teams to support the timely photo, video and livestream production through completion.

  • Leading your team (to be hired prior to studio launch) to ensure that each unique product is correctly identified and tagged with clear instructions of what images and/or videos need to be captured.

  • Performing inventory related tasks such as correct errors in inventory movement / balances, product logistics checking product in/out of the facility, oversee international shipping, and inventory liquidation.

  • Developing and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reduce training time, improve comprehension, and ensure compliance.

Once the studio is operational, a typical day/week looks like

  • Processing inbound staging and receiving merchandise, maintain on-hand merchandise, inventory audits and cycle counts.

  • Processing outbound domestic / international shipments, quarterly liquidations, returns, and maintain sample, product, prop storage areas.

  • Leveraging IT systems and reports to evaluate performance, coordinate production for product photography, video, and live stream.

  • Tracking product throughout all stages of the photo production process using inventory and asset management systems and tableau reporting. Extract, compile audit. Deliver data for reporting purposes.

  • Allocating and managing staff resources to meet changing studio needs. Set production priorities during the day, week, and season based on changing business needs.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will report to the Icon.SH Operations Lead and you will work with multiple teams across Nike’s enterprise to facilitate the capture of live steam, video and photography – include but not limited to Demand Supply management, Merch Operations, Partner Go-to-Market, Our Warehouse teams, Marketplace teams, as well as Internal Marketing sub-functions and our peer studios worldwide.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5+ years of Ecommerce/ Photo Studio / Operations experience; successfully delivering results in a project management/logistics/pre-production capacity.

  • Ability to create SOP from ground up and obsess with implementations.

  • 3+ years managing a team from hiring, training, and development.

  • Possesses an inspiring work ethic with the ability to drive teams to high level of quality and performance.

  • Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work with a diverse group or people.

  • Computer savvy with advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills.

  • Skilled in data analytics with the ability to drive clarity in information.

  • Strong critical thinking skills and results oriented with a bias for action.

  • Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills.

  • Flexible and able to work as needed, including the occasional weekend, to meet peak demands.

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Enthusiastic, positive energy and able to work well under pressure.

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Fluency in both Chinese and English.
