Job overview and responsibilities
This role supervises the day-to-day finance, accounting, administration, payroll, treasury, and taxes activities for China. Responsible for compliance with all governments and local requirements, as well as adequate review of internal financial and business controls, in order to safeguard company assets and reliability of accounting data. Provide guidance to our business partners in areas of finance and accounting whenever necessary. Responsible for allocating work among teammates, implementing, and enforcing corporate policies and setting goals for immediate direct reports. In addition, this role ensures to the continuous review of country process to identify process improvements, which will yield higher efficiency at the country level.
Direct, plan, coordinate and control the Accounting, Audit, Payroll, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Budgets and Financial Reporting, Administration, Statutory Reporting, Cash Forecasting function, Tax Compilation & Reporting, Corporate Compliance, Internal Controls, Accounts Payable and Payroll Processing
Directing Internal Controls to ensure they are operating effectively as business environment and processes are changing continuously
Ensure these controls are monitored effectively and efficiently in order to safeguard company assets, validate the accuracy and reliability of accounting data on a timely basis
Ensuring that business processes are appropriately standardized across all countries
Develop staff by coaching them or provide adequate training to improve process effectiveness
Work with business partners to ensure compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures
This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or Accounting field
5 Years relevant work experience
Excellent communicator, analytical skills, sensitivity to cultural differences, proven customer focus
Some travel required
Extensive knowledge of international operations, policies, procedures and processes:
Live and work without company assistance
Must be legally authorized to work in China for any employer without sponsorship
Must be fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese (read, write and speak)
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
Master's degree
Professional Accounting Qualification: ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA (U.S.)/CICPA
Experience in a passenger transport and/or airline environment
