General Motors Infotainment product manager in Shanghai, China

Job Description

  • Stay current on customer’s needs, laws and regulatory mandates, OEM competitor plans, new technology trends and luxury market trends

  • Create product strategies with business, marketing/brand, CX, legal and tech stakeholders.

  • Get buy-in for product strategies both internally and with key external partners.

  • Translate product strategies into requirements and roadmaps, manage ongoing changes and cross-team coordination.

  • Define priorities and help communicate them to key stakeholders.

  • Assist other teams through product development to meet objectives. Participate in acceptance check and results assessment.

  • Establish productive relationships with global business functions and be involved in relationship building and cultivation with internal and 3rd party service providers.

  • Drive product launches, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Track performance (e.g. analytics) and suggest improvements to customer experience and product strategy.

Additional Job Description

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience as a product manager, product owner or similar role.

  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.

  • Extensive knowledge of the current Infotainment and connectivity landscape in China.

  • Experience with prioritizing and multitasking.

  • Customer oriented and design thinking

  • Good analytical skills, strong sense on BC and ROI

  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, written and verbal.

  • Comfortable with communicating to senior executives

  • Fluent or conversational in English and Mandarin

Preferred Qualification

  • Excellent strategic agility – ability to recognize & capitalize on opportunities, identify and avoid threats, and pivot when needed

  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

  • Experience with the automotive infotainment system, IOT services and customer experience trends

  • Experience in UI/UX design, product development or digital marketing/commercialization.
