We are looking for an initiative-taking and meticulous Software Quality Assurance Analyst for a Delivery Solutions Team located in Asheville, NC. You will be responsible for quality control and analytical testing of ionCity’s suite of products. Your expertise will be crucial in designing effective test strategies, identifying potential issues, and ensuring that our software is robust, reliable and efficient. This position requires a strong understanding of software engineering, test automation and a proactive approach to quality assurance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Work closely with software developers and product managers to understand product requirements, write specifications and acceptance criteria, provide effort estimates and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Identify gaps in current test coverage while continuously improving and expanding test cases to ensure all critical features are tested. Report on test results, anomalies, risks and issues associated with the execution of tests.
• Maintaining clear and concise documentation of test cases and test results. Prepare reports on testing progress and issues for review by development and leadership teams.
• Completing routine technical tasks and following direction from Team Leads.
• Performing quality control checks to meet project quality, objectives, and deadlines. Implements internal testing plans to ensure traceability to functional requirements.
• Reviewing/writing customer requirements, analyzing objectives, verifying, and validating objectives; mitigating risks; and coordinating with customers on release of work.
• Embedded with Development team during all phases of software development to implement testing criteria and provide feedback on results. Assignments may require originality and innovation through coordination with development and test lead, in determining best approach to accomplish tasks.
• Provide User Support for release of software products, analyzing and reporting defects, evaluating the solutions for the defects, and coordinating with customers on the resolutions.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education).
• Experience with Software Quality Assurance processes and disciplines. Possess and apply expertise on all phases of software engineering assignments using Scrum & Agile practices.
• Experience with development and sustainment of web applications with back-end databases, built using a variety of tools, languages, and frameworks.
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
• Experience with unit testing, end to end and performance/API testing.
• Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Python Technologies such as Cypress, Postman, Git, Slack; Visual Studio and Azure DevOps.
• Must be able to travel for short periods.
• Supports implementation of Jacobs’ HS&E program and occupational safety and health regulations.

The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery, high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
