Job Summary: This position is responsible for assisting in food service operations as assigned; cleaning, bussing, food running, expediting, or backing up a direct service position such as server or bartender. In addition, this position is responsible for cleanliness of the assigned area(s), and all food and beverage equipment during the shift. Position is a direct support of the serving or bartending team. Responsible for supporting the Companies mission, vision, and values by providing fun and games like no place else, and adheres to the Canterbury Way by focusing on our core values of family, fun, integrity, and community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead by example. Responsible for maintaining a high degree of hospitality, as well as a positive and professional demeanor at all times. Creates high levels of morale, fosters teamwork, inspires collaboration, and provides suggestions for growth to management. Report to the designated work area on time, ready for work, and in complete and proper uniform. Punch in at the designated time clocks, as well as sign-in on a sign in sheet in your work area. Restaurant dining area, bar, or expo set-up and tear down, food expediting, pick-up and delivery, and assisting as needed. Assist in keeping the beverage stations, dining tables, and service areas clean throughout the shift. Assist wait staff in delivering food, stocking beverage stations, prepping sauces, rolling silverware, as well as changing bag-in-the-box soda. Keep dining/lounge/bar area clean by constantly moving through the areas, picking up trash, and cleaning/bussing any dirty tables or counters. Maintain a friendly, personable attitude with all guests and employees of Canterbury Park. Keep trash containers clean and empty. Bus tables and take plates/silverware to dish room and assist with washing dishes if necessary. Wipe down trays and service cart as needed. Perform all other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years of age. Previous food and beverage experience preferred. Must be able to pass Canterbury Park's pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background check and verification of work history. Must be able to attain a Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) license.
