Job Summary: Serve Canterbury Park guests in the Card Casino, Live racing and Event bars in a courteous and professional manner. Responsible for supporting the Companies mission, vision, and values by providing fun and games like no place else, and adheres to the Canterbury Way by focusing on our core values. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead by example. Responsible for maintaining a high degree of hospitality, as well as a positive and professional demeanor at all times. Creates high levels of morale, fosters teamwork, inspires collaboration, and provides suggestions for growth to management. Maintain prompt and courteous service to all Canterbury Park guests. Responsible for assigned work station set-up and maintaining clean/neat station throughout shift. Responsible for serving guests; taking and delivering orders of food (if applicable) and refreshment efficiently, and finalizing transactions accurately. Responsible for accurate cash, credit, and coupon handling utilizing assigned polices and SOPs Has documented alcohol service safety training Follow through on all policies and procedures in conjunction with alcohol awareness training. (Refusing service, asking for ID's, etc.) In charge of restocking, cleaning and resetting of work station for next shift. In charge of filling out requisitions for next shift/day as needed Responsible for safekeeping of Canterbury Park Concessions cash, supplies and property. Assist in all areas of Concessions Department when needed. Perform all other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Strong customer services skills. Basic math skills. Must be able to pass Canterbury Park's pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background check and verification of work history. Must be able to attain a Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) license. Preferred Qualifications: Previous bartending experience. TIPS/ServSafe alcohol certification is preferred.
