Adjunct Faculty/Course Developer, Respiratory Therapy
Position Description:
Rowan University is seeking an experienced professional in the field of Respiratory Therapy to lead the development, implementation, launching, and teaching of courses for a new online baccalaureate degree advancement program.
As part of the Rowan-Virtua School of Nursing and Health Professions, this individual will be responsible for curriculum creation for this program, including online course development, working with constituents on the curriculum proposal, making any necessary program changes and revisions during the program proposal process, and teaching as an adjunct faculty member.
Qualifications:
Required:
Master’s degree in a health science or related field
Associate degree/equivalent or higher in respiratory therapy or at least 18 graduate credit hours in respiratory care.
Valid Registered Respiratory Therapy credential and current state license
Experience in a clinical setting, particularly respiratory care
Preferred:
Experience teaching in various classroom settings (clinical, lab, classroom, virtual)
Strong familiarity with and understanding of basic computer applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong writing and communication skills in a higher education setting
Previous teaching experience at the college level, specifically online teaching experience, and experience with developing curriculum in the field of health sciences, specifically respiratory therapy
