Ohio Farmers Insurance Company Legal Operations Analyst - Paralegal in Seville, Ohio

Job Summary: The Legal Operations Analyst, specializing in paralegal duties, is integral to our legal team. This role will support the Legal Operations team and work closely with General Counsels team. The work includes, but not limited to the following: legal research, contract renewals, management of regulatory complaint handling, assisting in litigation needs, immigration filings, licensing reporting and filings and any additional legal items as requested and required. Candidates must have a comprehensive understanding of legal procedures and principles. Job Responsibilities: Maintains legal resource materials, including coordinating third-party subscriptions by reviewing subscription invoices and submitting for payment. Meet with the account representatives periodically to review contract details and update subscription offerings. Oversee the mail, complaints, and subpoenas. The complaints are received written, verbal, and electronic consumer complaints from the Department of Insurance, agents, or insureds and route to the proper departmental contact for response. Monitor changes in the state complaint processing and conducts analysis/review of complaints and responses. Receive subpoenas and assist in the gathering of the requested documents and ensure that the response is thorough. Assist in the licensing and licensing renewal of company licensing by completing applications and handling the invoices. Assist with Immigration filings, review invoice statements and keep up to date with recent immigration laws. Support contract drafting, review and negotiation, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards. Assists in maintaining litigation and administrative proceeding case filings and assists attorney's with case-related matters and preparation of written or verbal responses as required. Communicates with outside counsel as necessary. Administer various legal operations and compliance tasks, when needed. Handle administrative duties such as calendaring, scheduling meetings, file organization and whatever else may be asked. Maintain current knowledge of developments in relevant legal areas, particularly in contracting, insurance law, licensing and immigration. Travels occasionally in order to participate in special assignments, training and/or travel between office locations. Job Qualifications: 2-4 years of experience as a paralegal or in a similar legal support role. Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field and/or commensurate experience.
