Ohio Farmers Insurance Company Compliance Support Assistant in Seville, Ohio

Location: This is NOT a remote role. The physical work location is Westfield Center, OH, and will require three days in the office weekly, with two days being remote. A key focus for this role is to support the examination process of external regulators by gathering information and tracking. The Compliance Support Assistant, working under direct supervision, is responsible to assist in reviewing existing state regulations to determine their effect on products and assists in researching and maintaining information on a wide array of compliance and regulatory issues. The role monitors claims issues, regulatory changes, environmental and societal issues, and changes by competitors for the purpose of developing, maintaining, and recommending changes to personal lines policy contracts and forms for all products. The role also collaborates, develops, and nurtures professional relationships with team members and monitors regulatory activities and addresses actions needed to maintain compliance. Supports the examination process of external regulators by gathering information and tracking. Collaborates, develops, and nurtures professional relationships with team members and monitors regulatory activities and addresses actions needed to maintain compliance. Interacts with various departments to develop and enhance the effectiveness of compliance systems and reports. Assists in planning inspections and reviews by assessing key risks pertinent to the business, gathering records, and analyzing the information to identify control issues. Research potential violations of regulations, policies, and procedures, and reports to management as appropriate and reviews assigned legislative summaries. Supports business unit management by researching questions or handling compliance related issues as they arise and escalating when appropriate. 1-2 years of experience in Compliance Operations, or a related field. High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and/or commensurate experience.
