Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe Custodial Maintenance in Sequim, Washington
Custodial Maintenance is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe's Blyn Campus. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform a variety of tasks, including custodial duties, light maintenance, and groundskeeping.
Essential Functions:
- Custodial Duties:
- Sweep, mop, scrub, polish, and wax floors, walls, and woodwork
- Dust furniture and equipment
- Empty and clean ashtrays and wastebaskets
- Polish furniture and metal fixtures
- Vacuum rugs, curtains, and furniture
- Wash windows
- Clean restrooms
- Restock paper and soap supplies
- Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform minor maintenance and repair work, such as replacing lights, ballasts, and light repair of faucet washers or toilet tank floats
- Groundskeeping and Light Maintenance:
- Pressure washing
- Debris removal
- Replacing light bulbs
- Adjusting furniture
- Other similar activities
- Compliance:
- Adhere to all JST policies and procedures, including safety standards and work practices
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Adaptability and ability to adjust to change
- Initiative and ability to work independently
- Valid Driver's License
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of custodial, maintenance, or related experience
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and proper use of protective wear
- Effective time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- American Indian/Alaska Native preference
