Duties:
Provide coaching at our expanding tennis facility. Schedule private or semi-private lessons throughout the week. Plan, organize, and lead clinics for ages five up to junior elite high school players. Evaluate new students for level of play and consult on goals and training program. Assess and coach individuals on proper form, stroke development, advanced techniques, optimal fitness and potential progression in the sport. Prepare qualified players for competitive matches, tournament play, and collegiate teams. Stay current on USTA rules and schedules to advise players competing in the Southern section.
**Requirements: A bachelors degree with a major or concentration in fitness or recreation/sports management, and at least six months of experience as tennis coach, and either achieved personal top-20 (single/doubles) ranking, coached a top-10 ranked team, or holds USPTA or USPTR certification.
**Hours: 40 hours/week. Requires flexibility to meet variable student schedules up to six days per week.
