TREE TOP INC AP/AR Administrator in Selah, Washington
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The AP/AR Administrator is responsible for accurately performing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, including verifying goods received; recording invoice transactions; resolving vendor payment inquiries; serving as a resource for Tree Top personnel and vendors to communicate pricing errors and missing receiving in ERP system. This position applies customer payments, records payment deductions and uses proper G/L accounting options to clear AR transactions. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports to the AP/AR Manager and does not supervise staff. The position works closely with accounting/finance, plants, vendors, customers, transportation team and administrative staff. QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY: KNOWLEDGE OF: Principles and practices of accounts payable and accounts receivable. Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations. Office administrative and management practices and procedures, including record keeping and filing. Principles and practices of effective business communication; basic report writing methods and techniques; correct English usage, including spelling, grammar and punctuation. Mathematics and general accounting ABILITY TO: Gain cooperation through discussion and persuasion. Identify, research, and analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions. Effectively organize, plan, and execute. Use computers and computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Meet behaviors established in Tree Top's performance management and development process. Prepare clear, concise, and accurate correspondence, documents, reports and other written materials. Use discretion and independent judgment; uphold a certain level of confidentiality. EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION/LICENSES, AND TRAINING: High School Diploma or GED is required. Minimum of 3 years of experience performing accounts payable and accounts receivable in a computerized environment.
