Quest Diagnostics Inc Senior Product Owner (Healthcare Analytic Solutions) in Secaucus, New Jersey

This position is aligned to new solutions and product development using SAFe Agile methodology. The Technology Enablement Product Owner operates within a cross-functional team to support growth opportunities for Healthcare Analytics Solutions (HAS) business. You will be part of the Technology Enablement team that will deploy, integrate, and optimize technology tools and systems that will enable innovation and return on investment while managing costs and risks in the HAS organization. You will be working in a cross-functional team with Engineering, Business Product Management, and Marketing teams. For this position, we are looking for someone who is passionate about clinical data products and understands how to leverage Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning to enable and accelerate new opportunities in the cloud.


  • Partner with the Business Product Management teams to understand their product portfolio vision, business strategies, and timelines to translate to the Technology Enablement and Engineering teams.
  • Responsible for delivering business outcomes per business-driven epics, defining and prioritizing features and user stories, and establishing relevant acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with Technology Enablement Portfolio Director and contributes towards the portfolio roadmap.
  • Partner with Technology Enablement Portfolio Director and Business Product Management teams to ensure that the voice of customer is part of backlog refinement and implementation.
  • Align product backlog items to Technology Enablement and HAS business goals, e.g., leveraging Program Increment Objectives and Annual Operating Plans to prioritize Features and User Stories.
  • Work with the Agile teams to prioritize the team-level backlog to ensure on-time delivery of solutions to address unmet customer needs and drive revenue for the business.
  • Collaborate with Business Product Management to understand and address the needs, preferences, and behaviors of the customers.
  • Work as an active Agile team member for the effective product lifecycle management across the sub-segment through robust cross-functional team management.
  • Define Sprint/Iteration goals.
  • Exercise content authority for the Team Backlog that is aligned to the portfolio's strategic plan.
  • Participate in planning and iteration ceremonies as a team member (e.g., Iteration Planning, ART Sync, PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt).
  • Review and accept completed backlog items (user stories) as part of sprint cadences.
  • Run and own backlog refinement and related Agile ceremonies.
  • Partner with the Technology Enablement Portfolio Director and Business Product Management teams to develop relationships with stakeholders and management to enable feedback loops.
  • Collaborate and set expectations with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with Business Product Management teams in discussions with Marketing on product/solution marketing strategy and mix.
  • Keep abreast with Technology and Agile best practices and new trends related to cloud, healthcare data, and product management.
  • Deliver prioritized business outcomes as per the product roadmap and planning to achieve revenue, volume, and margin targets in sub-segment Annual Operating Plan.


Education:

  • Bachelor's required; Master's degree a plus

Required Work Experience:

  • 5+ years relevant experience in healthcare is preferred (consumer, pharmaceuticals and/or diagnostics) with at least 3 years in clinical data & product management
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile
  • 2+ Experience in translating VOC and customer needs into a prioritized roadmap
  • Experience with ALM tools (like Rally, VersionOne, etc.) or other product management tool

Preferred Work Experience:

  • Customer experience and digital product management experience
  • Previous P&L management experience

Knowledge:

  • Agile Product Management

  • Understanding of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning technology and models
