User Experience Designer Position Overview We are seeking a User Experience Designer to join our dynamic team for a 6 month, 40 hour per week contract role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing user satisfaction by improving the usability, accessibility, and pleasure provided in the interaction between the user and the product. This role requires a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and a passion for creating engaging digital experiences. Key Responsibilities
- Research and analyze user needs through interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using tools such as Figma and ProtoPie.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency across products.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs.
- Utilize design thinking methodologies to solve complex user problems and enhance digital experiences.
- Present design concepts and deliverables effectively to stakeholders and team members, using storytelling techniques to convey ideas.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve design processes and outputs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in user experience design or a related field.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, ProtoPie, and other wireframing/prototyping tools.
- Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles and practices.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with coding and engineering principles, particularly in REACT and Material UI, preferred
