Amazon Technical Program Manager, AWS PXT, ADC Talent Team in Seattle, Washington

Description

Note: This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is one of the fastest-growing and profitable business segments within Amazon. As the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, AWS is disrupting the traditional infrastructure market and redefining how organizations consume technology. We strive to be the most employee and customer-centric company on Earth, and to get there, we need the most talented, bright, and driven people on our team.

We’re looking for a passionate, curious, and talented Technical Program Manager to join our HR team in support of a growing business segment which provides critical services for AWS national security customers. This is a high business impact role for a candidate who can define and own the technology roadmap for ADC HR, and deliver durable solutions to our complex data, systems, and tooling dependencies across multiple geographies. Your ability to be the trusted advisor to our leadership team and drive efficiency and productivity is key to success.

This position requires superior analytical strength, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to synthesize moving parts of the business to drive the business forward. The role demands a strong sense of urgency, the ability to influence and make sound judgement calls, and willingness to roll up your sleeves. The individual will need to effectively work with HR Leaders, Security, global stakeholders, AWS business ops/finance, and our business-aligned program and data analytics teams. The right candidate for the role will possess a strong data analytics background, must be able to thrive and succeed in an ever-changing environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.

From Day 1, Technical Program Managers are given ownership and the autonomy to think strategically and make data driven decisions, along with the ability to drive significant impact on the customer experience as well as the business. This role requires working with professionals in many different domains including HR, Security, Engineering, Compensation, and Finance along with high visibility to senior leaders at AWS.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive process improvements and collaborating with engineering organizations to build new technologies that automate various aspects of ADC PXT operations.

  • Drive operational success. Develop and execute work-backwards plans for key strategic deliverables such as Quarterly Business Reviews and Quarterly Bonus Administration to ensure they are completed on time to high quality standards.

  • Data integrity. Collaborate with partner teams to develop and maintain reporting dashboards for the organization, synthesizing the needs of our HR, security, recruiting, and business teams to deliver a single source of truth for the organization.

  • Scale for growth. Own programs and strategic partnerships to move our processes from scrappy solutions to stable ones in support of growing scale and complexity within the organization.

  • Simplify processes. Streamline our compensation bonus program to drive efficiency and timely quarterly delivery.

  • Enable smart decision making. Drive consistency in operational metrics across the HR, recruiting, and business teams.

  • Display high judgment. Use strong analytical skills to build reporting, tell the story around the data, and provide actionable insights to drive to path-to-green plans.

  • Influence others. Partner with peer organizations to ensure tight alignment, facilitate the sharing (and proliferation) of information of best-known practices, and drive synchronization and collaboration in connection with shared goals and deliverables.
