Blue Origin LLC Supplier Security Specialist in Seattle, Washington

This role is part of Enterprise Technology (ET), where we're developing the digital infrastructure needed to build the road to space, with an emphasis on digital capabilities required to advance Blue Origin's mission. Enterprise Technology is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin, providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies. As part of a passionate and accomplished team of Cyber Security experts, you will protect and secure the infrastructure supporting various corporate and spaceflight systems. The Supplier Security Specialist will be a key member of the CGRC team. You will be responsible for managing and executing the supplier cyber security risk management process. To be successful in this role, you must be able to work with the Integrated Supply Chain Team to evaluate the services that a supplier or their product could provide to Blue Origin in terms of interaction with company data. Based on your understanding of that interaction and the sensitivity of the data involved, you will then structure a supplier security assessment that measures their ability to adequately protect that data. You will ensure that you receive the information and formal documentation back from the supplier that is required for you to make a decision on allowing their use by Blue Origin. You will also be responsible for managing the quality of the supplier risk assessment process to assure efficient and timely support of the company's procurement process. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform regular security assessments of third-party vendors and partners to ensure they meet Blue Origin security requirements and standards. Collaborate with internal teams to scope and assess supplier and product security requirements. Maintain supplier security procedure(s) and ensure internal stakeholders needs are addressed Execute third-party on-boarding including contract and security agreement reviews and compliance audits Support cybersecurity incident management activities involving third-parties Collect and report third-party security metrics Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or certification in cybersecurity, or equivalent industry experience 3+ years experience in cybersecurity risk management Knowledgeable of security strategies and practices within the manufacturing industry Experience with cybersecurity standards including NIST, ISO 27001, ISO 28000, SOC, and CMMC Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
