Amazon Studio Producer, IT Services in Seattle, Washington

Description

The Studio Producer is responsible for the day-to-day project management work in the studio, collaborates on video production creative services, provides skilled digital media storytelling, logs important information for post-production, and serves the customer by delivering the highest quality product and a great experience. Successful team members will seamlessly step into a corporate environment, deliver compelling brand stories that inspire and engage, communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization, conduct the project roadmap for the customer, have strong organizational skills, and demonstrate the ability to work across multiple teams and cultures.

Key job responsibilities

• Owning a variety of production-based projects from hand-off to the final product

• Gathering and managing details on a project provided from customers

• Collaborating with a wide-range of teams and customers

• Serving as the primary contact for daily customer communication needs and support

• Logging and tracking necessary information for post-production teams

• Interfacing with both technical and creative members of the production teams

• Developing and executing solutions during unexpected circumstances, being highly adaptive

• Leading meetings effectively; providing documentation and aligning stakeholders

• Optimizing project and process efficiencies, while improving team goals

• Reporting and tracking program-related metrics

• Seeking opportunities to encourage the team’s skill development

• Working to set a positive tone for projects while remaining calm in fast-paced environment

Pre-Production:

• Assists customers with planning meetings

• Guides the customer clearly through the production process

• Prepares and distributes production paperwork

• Collaborates on vendor estimates and labor costs

• Books needed project resources

• Oversees and runs technical rehearsals

• Communicates clearly with all team members and stakeholders

Day-of Production:

• Leads the day-of shoot operations

• Owns of the safety of the set for crew and customers

• Serves as the point of communication for crew, talent, and customers

• Is responsible for calling audio, video, and lighting cues

• Tracks and records editorial notes

• Ensures a high-standard of production that is on-brand and exceeds customer expectation

• Manages and assists direction of the studio talent

• Dynamically flexes to customer needs and adapts to complications

Post-Production:

• Oversees the change-over of studio space between productions

• Manages any necessary customer post-production needs

• Collaborates with editorial on post-production deliverables

• Ensures creative vision and production scope is satisfied in project delivery

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience

  • 4+ years in studio or production management

  • 2+ years of show calling experience

  • 2+ years of experience in video production

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and manage complex calendaring systems, databases and due dates

  • Experience with audio, video, lighting, and livestreaming systems

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once

  • Ability to lead through ambiguity to expected resolution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

  • 2+ years of experience collaborating with and directing high level executives and their teams

  • Experience communicating with a diverse audience, including the ability to propose solutions and explanations in writing

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of video production processes including; pre-production planning, on-set direction, and post-production deliverables

  • Ability to scope projects and determine production needs, procedures and schedules

  • Possess an acute sense for visual aesthetics and ideas and the ability to manage people and resources effectively

  • Experience taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Familiarity with studio production billing processes

  • Strong desire to learn new technologies and systems

  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to improve processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
