Bring your expertise in driving and managing pre-sales technology evaluation and post-sales technical integration and validation to Amazon Omnichannel and help us build the future of Local Selling at Amazon!
We seek an experienced, entrepreneurial leader who couples a deep understanding of B2B solutions architecture with strong technical program management experience to help grow the B2B Integration Solutions Architect practice for medium and large Sellers. In this high-profile role, you will help scale a new capability that provides rapid, onsite technical and design support to launch new brands, retailers and sellers on Amazon. Core capabilities include identifying and removing obstacles related to technical, logistics and fulfillment network integration, providing on-the-ground guidance to position dealer & store networks to launch at scale. You are the face of Amazon to our selling partners, and own both the strategy and execution to bring key selling partners to market while navigating complex and ambiguous challenges.

You must be an effective communicator, a strong collaborator across a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders, and able to lead a diverse and decentralized team of professionals.
Key job responsibilities
As a Sr. Solutions Architect, you will lead technical integrations for sellers and partners while working with internal Business Development, Account Managers, Sales, Product and Engineering teams, to coordinate new product integrations and launches. You will develop and execute operational process improvements while managing on-going integrations with customers and partners. You will lead integrations from technical discovery/scoping through implementation and post-production support. You will need to be an influencer and be able to negotiate technical and functional requirements. You will design and implement technical integration solutions to solve complex business problems for Amazon Local Selling’s largest sellers and partners.
A day in the life
As a member of the Local Selling’s Solutions Architecture Team, your primary goal is to quickly and efficiently onboard new sellers from the point of “Account Creation” to point of “Live on Site”. The onboarding process is grouped across: 1) Tech Discovery - Solution Design & Process Alignment; 2) Solution Development / API Integration; and 3) QA and Operational Readiness Testing & Launch.
You will work closely with your counterparts upstream in Sales and downstream in Account Management to ensure smooth hand-offs with a relentless focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
The Solutions Architecture Team also provides key inputs to Product & Technology feature prioritization and long-term roadmap planning, while partnering with Business Development & Sales to proactively define and plan against integration blockers as part of the discovery process.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
6+ years of experience as a solutions architect, integrations architect or equivalent focused on eCommerce, Logistics, Last Mile or other relevant domains.
Deep understanding of integration system architecture and security for both external and internal communication. Familiarity with ANSI X12 standards, particularly V4010 and above, including Order and Financial series documents (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810).
Proficient in working with XML, JSON, and other message formats. Experience with various EDI communication standards and protocols, including AS2, standard VAN-based EDI, FTP, SFTP, HTTPS, and Web services.
Comfort executing in ambiguous, rapidly evolving businesses with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying complex issues to both internal and external stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience dealing with high volume systems and designing solutions for reliability and performance at scale.
Experience of designing fault-tolerant solutions.
Middleware business process workflow design and development experience.
Application development experience in Java or any other programming language.
Experience working in client-side roles preferably in tech consulting.
Highly organized and results oriented with a high degree of ownership.
Ability to maintain attention to detail, work independently, adjust priorities, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
Strong SQL knowledge. Understanding of data structures, data models, and data analysis.
Experience in developing integration interfaces, APIs, and web services.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
