Description
Amazon is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to be a key business partner in our Global Tax Calculation Services Program, supporting each and every business line at Amazon.
The Global Tax Calculation Services Program is responsible for providing end-to-end solutions for Amazon and thousands of other merchants selling on Amazon marketplaces as well as other e-commerce platforms.
In order to be successful, the candidate must possess the ability to think strategically while having the flexibility to engage in day-to-day tactical responsibilities. The role requires the candidate to have a broad understanding of the project management life cycle while having experience managing multiple projects simultaneously within a technical systems landscape.
Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the project intake process and prioritize projects internally based on impact and scope.
Developing processes for better project documentation and tracking from project ingestion through to completion.
Align key internal and external partners to ensure scalable solutions and excellence in execution.
Liaising with cross-functional work streams consisting of Amazon Businesses, Tax, Accounting, Legal, Finance Operations, and technical teams in order to drive cross-team dependencies for large scale projects.
Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels.
Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple groups with varying priorities.
Tackle existing problems by developing programs to improve the efficiency of the team including building a training program.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of driving process improvements experience
Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
