We are looking for a Senior Product Manager - Tech to drive the development of new products and experiences that enable hiring at scale at Amazon. Our products are used to schedule evaluations and discover and bar raising candidates.

The ideal candidate will leverage their deep technical product management expertise to work backwards from customer scenarios, identify the right product opportunities, define and execute the product roadmap with cross-organizational engineering, science and UX teams for enterprise-wide global customers. They will demonstrate a high level of ownership, and use communication and organizational skills to maintain alignment with stakeholders and customer representatives at all levels of leadership. They will use data and concise narrative to articulate their vision for products that excite and thrill customers. Key job responsibilities

  • Identifying which customer problems are the most impactful to solve for.

  • Defining the vision for your product.

  • Generating buy-in for the product vision with leadership and partner teams.

  • Creating and maintaining an optimized and logically sequenced roadmap.

  • Translating customer experiences into clearly defined product requirements.

  • Managing prioritization and trade-offs to ensure delivery of a great customer experience.

  • Anticipating and resolving strategic issues that impair the team’s ability to deliver.

  • Leading cross-functionally to ensure the product vision is implemented effectively.

A day in the life

As the Senior Product Manager - Tech, you will own the vision and strategy for every aspect of the product, from strategy to feature-level definition and then roll out to thousands of users who rely on your tools. Day to day you may find yourself doing desk rides with customers to understand their challenges, and then get huddled up in a room to do whiteboarding of solutions with your tech partners to solve for them. You'll have a seat at the table for strategic prioritization discussions, and you'll make the tradeoffs that help us learn quickly, deliver value, and continue to iterate on products that have high visibility across Amazon. In this roll, you will be part of a cross-functional organization of research and applied scientists, data engineers, program managers, product managers, UX designers, software developers, and recruiting teams. This role is based in Seattle or Vancouver, Canada.

About the team

We are Sourcing, a cross-functional org of research and applied scientists, data engineers, program managers, product managers, UX designers, software developers, and recruiting teams. We believe there is a right way to recruit, and have brought these disciplines together to ideate, build, and learn together. We are global, with primary offices in Seattle, Phoenix, Arlington, Austin , Edinburgh and Nashville. This role is based in Seattle to ensure physical proximity with teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
