Amazon Sr. Financial Analyst GREF FP&A, Finance Operations in Seattle, Washington

Description

Amazon is seeking an experienced candidate to join the Finance Operations, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) group as a Sr. Financial Analyst in our Amazon HQ1 (Seattle, WA) or HQ2 (Arlington, VA) locations supporting their key business partner, the Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) Property Management team. This FP&A position will be charged with driving the annual operating plan, managing the forecasting processes and providing analytical support to our stakeholders, as well as maintaining and delivering on key performance metrics, and developing and reporting on the financial performance. This role will also support annual launch of purchase orders, month-end close reviews, funding requests and financial SOP’s. This individual will work with business partners, facilities and accounting teams, and other internal and external stakeholders to deliver on these goals.

This position requires a proactive, highly motivated self-starting individual with an aptitude for financial analysis and modeling, who operates well in an ambiguous environment. This person will also be expected to take a leadership role in driving positive change by evaluating and streamlining existing regional and global operational processes. Additionally, the senior analyst will support development of new tools, reports and processes for the team.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 4+ years of transactional accounting field experience

  • 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing and implementing controls or experience performing audits over financial reporting environment

  • Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
