Blue Origin LLC Sr. Crew Systems and EVA Systems Engineer in Seattle, Washington

As part of a diverse and hardworking team of systems engineering, you will perform requirements development for various EVA and Crew Systems hardware. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of requirements generation, verification planning and certification for flight of the next crewed lunar lander. You will execute the program requirements management strategy that spans the program life cycle and positions the element for successful verification and certification. As such, you are accountable for requirements management, validation, verification planning and certification processes. You participate in element functional and performance requirements, lead/support integrated analysis and plan the verification and validation activities. You will also represent your system in cross-functional trades and impact studies for architecture and the element that you support. You will be expected to direct and coordinate these requirements with program systems engineering and external element teams. You will work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program. You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support the completion of program development in the areas of requirements definition, validation, and verification, and integrate technical content from integration teams. Support system and lower-level requirements management, including change control, audits, and coordination with other teams. During system engineering reviews of requirement development, decomposition, and allocation activities (requirements traceability), apply definition of customer needs, integration, requirements definition, verification and validation planning, and requirements management. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand vehicle requirements and ensure strong, continued communications throughout the lifecycle of the mission. Apply a variety of technical principles and tools in Systems Engineering such as CONOPs development, requirements analysis, and interface definition Qualifications (Required) Minimum of a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar 8 plus years of demonstrating System Engineering experience. General knowledge of overall systems engineering process and technical budgets General knowledge of space systems design and requirements (e.g. thermal, vibration, shock, EMI/EMC, acoustics, electrical grounding/bonding) and mechanical hardware design General knowledge of crewed space flight systems and human factors Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion "Must be a U.S. citizen or national,
