PV is seeking an experienced and highly analytical Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) who can build end-to-end data pipelines, automate reporting and equip our business stakeholders with data driven actionable insights. A successful candidate will be an expert in SQL, ETL, data manipulation(Py Spark) and be able to partner effectively across a diverse set of stakeholders including product managers, BIEs, data engineers and other leaders in the organization.
The Sr. BIE will build the foundational data pipelines and data tables, analyze large data sets, prove and disprove hypothesis, automate solutions and build self-service dashboards and reports. This person consistently employs high judgment and makes data-driven decisions, leading by example and influencing the team to do the same.
Key job responsibilities
Interact directly with stakeholders, gather requirements and own automated end-to-end reporting solutions.
Develop complex queries for ad hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting.
Design, develop and maintain scalable, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support our analytical and business needs
Design, implement, and support key datasets that provide structured and timely access to actionable business information addressing stakeholder needs.
Proficiency with SQL queries and Pyspark to retrieve and analyze data. Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use.
Perform end-to-end deep dive analyses to discover actionable insights for our business stakeholders.
Simplify and automate reporting, audits, and other data-driven activities; build solutions to have maximum scale and self-service ability by stakeholders
Apply engineering excellence to reporting and analysis pipelines, automate and simplify self-service support for customers.
Interact with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources.
About the team
Worldwide Marketplace Science (WMS) is the science and economics partner to TVOD and Channels businesses worldwide. We drive Prime Video’s entertainment hub strategy by developing software systems and science frameworks to drive acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization. We own science-driven, production systems for price and promotion optimization and serve our internal TVOD and Channels business leaders through bespoke scientific frameworks for measurement and optimization that guide strategic decision-making.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of professional or military experience
5+ years of SQL experience
Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
Experience with AWS technologies
Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutions
Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
