Qualtrics Software Engineer II in Seattle, Washington

Qualtrics, LLC seeks Software Engineer II in Seattle, WA.

 

Duties:  Develop scalable, fast, robust, and simple web-based software solutions to solve complex business problems. Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements. May supervise the work of programmers, technologists and technicians and other engineering and scientific personnel. Design test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures. Test system modifications to prepare for implementation. Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability. Document software defects, using a bug tracking system (Jira), and report defects to software developers. Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content. Contribute to frameworks, tools, and automation for complex, distributed software systems. Convert manual test cases to automated cases in existing frameworks.

 

Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science or related field; plus 2 years of related experience. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related; plus 5 years of related experience.

 

Requires any amount of experience in the following:

  1. i) Java, javascript, angular, node, php, python, C#, or C++.
  2. ii) Web infrastructure and distributed systems.

iii) Relational databases and SQL.

  1. iv) Code editors (VIM and Emacs), and revision control systems (GIT).v) UNIX including file manipulation and simple commands.
  2. vi) Building highly scalable performant solutions.

vii) Algorithms.

viii) Angular, node.js, and react.
