JOB TITLE: Site Reliability Engineer
LOCATION: 1301 2nd Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101.
DUTIES: Enhance, build, and deliver market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Design, develop, and support high-quality technology solutions across multiple technical areas in support of the firm's business objectives. Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of existing software applications and systems. Drive initiatives to improve the reliability and stability of applications and platforms using data- driven analytics to improve service levels. Review and debug code, facilitate resiliency design reviews, deconstruct complex problems into digestible work for other engineers, and act as a technical lead for medium to large sized products. Provide guidance and mentorship to other developers on software engineering best practices, systems design, operational management, and SRE concepts.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 (Five) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Application Engineer, IT Consultant, Associate (IT), or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 3 (Three) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Application Engineer, IT Consultant, Associate (IT), or related occupation. Requires experience in the following: Linux; Unix; Windows; Agile SDLC; Application Architecture Disciplines; Data Architecture Disciplines; Infrastructure Architecture Disciplines; Microservices; Apache Kafka; Docker; Jenkins; Spring; Java; Javascript; Python; React; Shell Scripting; SQL; REST; Maven; JSON; Kubernetes; AWS Cloud Services; Azure Cloud Services; Oracle; Splunk; GIT; Automated Testing; Functional Testing; Manual Testing; Performance Testing; Regression Testing; System Integration Testing; Unit Testing; User Acceptance Testing; Terraform; Site Reliability Engineering Practices; Jira; Incident and Change Management; CI/CD; IaaS; Observability Tooling.
