Amazon Senior UX Program Manager, WW Prime - Design in Seattle, Washington

Description

As a Senior UX Program Manager for WW Prime, your primary focus will be on leading the creation and scaling of our design system and design library. You will be responsible for ensuring consistent, high-quality design delivery across the organization by establishing and maintaining a robust design infrastructure.

Your key responsibilities will include defining the program, strategy, and success metrics for our design system and library. This will involve building the foundational structure, including the business case, prioritization alignment, team engagement, governance, and communication processes. Your goal will be to create a seamless, efficient, and scalable design ecosystem that empowers our designers, researchers, content strategists, and UX engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences.

To achieve this, you will need to implement streamlined processes and workflows to improve team execution and delivery. This may include resolving resourcing gaps, anticipating and addressing bottlenecks, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop ongoing improvements. You will also be responsible for coordinating with the design, product, and technology teams to ensure the design system and library are aligned with their needs and are driving successful program delivery and outcomes.

By taking a system-thinking approach, you will analyze issues and implement holistic solutions, ensuring that the linkages between structure, people, process, and technology are optimized.

Key job responsibilities

  • Establish a comprehensive program to build and scale our design system and library

  • Engage with cross-functional partners to understand their needs and pain points, and use this feedback to refine the design system and library strategy.

  • Develop a detailed roadmap for scaling the design system and library, including specific goals, milestones, and success metrics.

  • Explore opportunities to leverage automation and technology to streamline the creation, maintenance, and distribution of design assets.

  • Identify and document best practices for design system governance and maintenance that can be shared and replicated across the organization.

  • Partner with UX and Engineering to ensure the design system and library infrastructure is secure, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of design experience

  • Have an available online portfolio

  • Experience understanding needs of business and end customers and translating them into right solutions

  • Experience gathering and analyzing large amounts of data and delivering continuous business improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (agile to waterfall)

  • Experience working and contributing to project playbooks, building schedules, managing issues/risks, establishing communication plans and stakeholder management

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $192,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
