Senior Transportation Planning/Analysis Project Manager

 As a Senior Project Manager you will work closely with both local and cross-office teams to win and deliver work in our Transportation Planning-Analysis practice, with a portfolio including projects such as long-range corridor and area studies, city-wide plans, multi-modal plans, fee studies, VMT assessments, performance measurement, interchange and ICE evaluations, managed lanes studies, and safety programs.

What will you be doing?

  • Leading technical projects/tasks, reviewing technical work prepared by others, and conducting advanced analysis. 
  • Working with multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of complex corridor studies, transit operations, area plans, system plans, and other technical transportation projects.
  • Develop new client relationships for DKS and build on current client relationships, including partnerships with other consulting firms
  • Win and manage a variety of transportation planning-analysis projects that you are passionate about, including all elements of the project life-cycle (pre-positioning, pursuit, negotiations, project planning, technical delivery, financial management, etc.)
  • Assure client satisfaction through implementation of our Client Experience (CX) and QC/QA initiatives
  • Work with, train, and mentor less experienced staff in technical expertise, client management, and project management
  • Recruit talent and grow our practice

 What are we looking for?

Bachelor's Degree (or greater) in Civil Engineering, Transportation, Planning, or similar field

10+ years of experience in the transportation engineering consulting industry

Ability to support business development by securing pursuits

Project management experience on a variety of transportation engineering projects

PE or AICP license required

One or more advanced certifications such as PTOE, RSP, and/or PMP desired

Familiarity with traffic analysis and modeling software such as Synchro, Vissim, Visum, Cube, Emme, Sidra, and HCS.

Ability to create scripts in VBA, JavaScript, Python, etc., as well as experience with GIS and data analysis in eg. Tableau or Power BI a plus.
