Amazon Senior Technical Program Manager, BuilderWorks in Seattle, Washington

Description

The BuilderWorks Application Experience team is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to help improve the builder experience across BuilderWorks products. Our mission is to improve the builder experience across the lifecycle of builders who interface with our foundational systems. We do this by accelerating convergence towards intuitive and user-friendly interfaces which simplify complex tasks like provisioning their infrastructure and moving it into new regions. We seek to remove the toil builders experience as they navigate non-standard and inconsistent interface points.

To continuously raise the bar on builder experience, we are a team focused on exploring new experiences, and when we find success, we roll up our sleeves and partner with engineering teams to make that experience a reality. As an exploratory team, we often engage in solving nuanced and ad-hoc problems on behalf of the larger organization. This position will need to be flexible and creative in tackling those new challenges.

This position will engage with engineering teams across multiple SVP organizations to influence roadmaps and prioritize efforts, requiring strength in ability to Earn Trust and Delivering Results. The Senior Technical Program Manager will track progress against goals and support sequencing the resources based on variables such as complexity and adjacency to other systems which enable higher levels of abstraction.

The right candidate will have a proven track record of planning and delivering complex programs with multi-year roadmaps. They will have experience driving architectural change across thousands of teams and handled communication for technical developers up to to VPs.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
