Blue Origin LLC Senior Systems Engineer, Vehicle Test - Lunar Permanence in Seattle, Washington

To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building the sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the Lunar Surface. As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers, you will be responsible for integrated vehicle test scope for the lunar lander system. In your role as Senior Systems Engineer for the Vehicle Systems Engineering team, you will be a program leader defining and developing the test scope, success criteria, anomaly resolution, and performing data review for integrated vehicle testing of the lunar lander system, as well as developing the processes and strategies for vehicle test execution. Your passion, expertise, and skills will play a key role in the integration, verification, and validation of the spacecraft and mission success. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: High level integrated vehicle test planning including assessing test scope, requirements, standards compliance and coordinating the scheduling, resources, and facilities required for test execution Develop and deliver test plans for vehicle tests Own the test scope and success criteria for vehicle tests Balance technical risks, cost, and schedule to make key program decisions related to integrated lander vehicle testing Lead test anomaly response, troubleshooting, tracking, and reporting Create efficient program processes, strategies, and tools to streamline build integration and test activities Conduct Test Readiness Reviews Understand the test instrumentation, ground support equipment, and procedures needed to successfully execute tests Perform data reviews, generate test reports, and support requirement verification activities Own and perform hazard analysis and control verification related to integrated vehicle testing Utilize good engineering and business judgement to ensure the most efficient and effective product is designed, manufactured, procured, tested, qualified, and delivered to satisfy mission objectives Embody, promote, and coach the Blue Origin leadership principles Minimum Qualifications: Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space! B.S. degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or related field 8+ years of Systems Engineering experience performing activities such as requirements definition, traceability, interface definition, design documentation, integration, test, verification, and validation Experience planning and executing integrated tests on spacecraft including functional testing, power, electrical, GN&C phasing, modal, acoustic, thermal vacuum, tanking, and EMI/EMC testing Detailed knowledge of space systems design, test, and verification Ability to lead and coordinate integrated vehicle test activities across stakeholders and experts from varying engineering fields Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate technical information effectively Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading complex
