Blue Origin LLC Senior Software Development Engineer - Enterprise Technology in Seattle, Washington

As a senior software engineer in Enterprise Technology, you will bring your perspective to aerospace applications of engineering design, manufacturing, supply chain, mission operations, or customer experience. Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of software systems and infrastructure in languages like Java, Python, and Javascript Craft and build web user interfaces in frameworks like Angular and React Mentor software engineers on your team and others Work alongside design, manufacturing, and flight operations teams to understand opportunities for improvement and points of unnecessary complexity Evaluate, integrate, and extend commercial products using GraphQL, REST web services, and message queues Fix software problems at multiple levels, including installation, deployment, configuration, server-side and client-side issues Qualifications: At least 7 years of relevant experience writing software and deploying it to a production environment Skill in typed (like Java or C) and untyped (like Javascript) languages Deep working knowledge of computer science fundamentals like algorithms and common data structures Ability to solve problems by writing efficient working code, even when given incomplete or ambiguous requirements Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with and communicate complex systems to a diverse user base Experience mentoring software engineers in a team setting, including architecture, design, and code review. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired: Some of our applications include rich user experiences in HTML, CSS, and Javascript, using frameworks like React. If you've built these, let us know.
