ABOUT THIS ROLE

Audible’s People Analytics team is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to drive our analytical revolution in the Talent Acquisition (TA) and People space. In this role you will partner with TA/HR leadership and business partners to drive Audible's Recruiting and People Analytics consulting projects. You will focus on design and implementation of Global TA and People Analytics initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement and developing recommendations needed. Your analyses will contribute deeply to the development of our strategy and drive impact against our hiring objectives. You will turn ambiguous business questions to clearly defined problems, develop quantifiable metrics, and implement reporting to support the data needs across the organization.

As Senior People and TA Analytics Analyst, you will...

  • Act as strategic advisor and thought leader on key initiatives/processes, both client specific and enterprise wide

  • Identify and support TA and business reporting and data needs, initiate and prioritize reporting tool enhancement, and prepare report and reporting solution specifications

  • Architect reporting and drive insights into our recruiting efforts and programs

  • Own data analytics projects from beginning to end, building reports, compiling metrics, and owning ad hoc and trend analysis

  • You will utilize business intelligence tools to analyze data and drive key recommendations

  • Design and develop statistical models to measure the effectiveness of TA/HR programs and initiatives

  • Design and implement dashboards that present data in a meaningful and actionable framework for leadership

  • You will work with Talent Acquisition leadership to achieve business objectives and communicate insights to key stakeholders

  • Identify research opportunities, form hypotheses, synthesize conclusions and present findings/recommendation to stakeholders

  • Build partnerships and work closely with internal teams to deliver tools and system solutions; provide monthly review and assessment of solution performance and adoption

  • Work side-by-side with internal and external stakeholders to improve operational process efficiency

  • Conduct internal research, designing structurally sound surveys, online experiments, and A/B tests

  • Coach managers and other employees on Analytics policies and best practices

  • Initiate the right contacts to resolve and discuss mutual problems or collaborate on procedures or transactions

  • Convey information to occasionally divergent audiences that may require some persuasion

  • Travel and work across global time zones occasionally

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Information Systems or related field

  • 5+ years of professional experience in business analysis or comparable analytics position

  • 3+ years experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

  • 3+ years experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

  • 3+ years experience in fields such as analytics, business intelligence, consulting, finance, or related areas

  • 3+ years experience with advanced data tools (e.g., R, Tableau, Python, SPSS)

  • 3+ years experience with Recruiting and HR technology solutions; deep understanding of business intelligence and reporting tools, including Excel (complex formulas, pivots, etc.)

  • 3+ years project management experience working with multiple stakeholders; experience prioritizing and delegating projects/tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer orientation with consultative skills – strong aptitude for proactively identifying needs and defining solutions

  • Strongly self-motivated; solves business problems and works well with limited supervision

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; communicates succinctly and clearly and can create documents and presentations that are ready for leadership review

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous situations within a high growth environment

  • Experience identifying and translating business issues into questions that can be answered with data

  • Experience in building comprehensive self-service dashboards and reports

  • Experience with survey design and analysis

  • Experience with workforce planning

  • Advanced degree (Masters, PhD)

  • Experience with AWS Quicksight

  • Experience with statistical analysis and quantitative research

  • Experience with forecasting

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
