Nordstrom is looking for a Senior Manager Program Management, Inventory Optimizations - Transfers. This role will be the enterprise owner of our Intra-Network Inventory Movement program which refers to the 40M units of inventory we transfer annually at JWN. Effective inventory movement supports the customer experience by having the right product in the right place, enabling discovery and relevance for purchase and convenience for returns. It also strengthens business results by driving higher sales and profit on each unit and reducing lost and exhausted product. This leader’s primary charge will be to establish systems and processes to support accurate and timely inventory transfers. Transfers are a core retail capability that require continuous management and advancement, but recently, Intra-Network Inventory Movement was named one of JWN’s critical focus areas which will enable us to make accelerated progress on our transfer capabilities. This leader will:

  • Help define our desired inventory movement capability for transfers, evolve current systems and processes to achieve our desired capability, and build processes to monitor transfer execution.

  • Establish program action items and KPIs, monitor progress, adjust in-year as required, and share out regular updates with key stakeholders.

  • Support advancement of our transfer technology platform (DEXTR) as a critical enabler of the desired capability.

  • Effectively integrate with interdependent work tracks – e.g., Customer Returns, Return to Vendor, Product Exhaust, Inventory Loss, Autoclosures, Unsellables, Inbound Inventory, NextGen Warehouse Management System, Transform Management System, and more.

As a leader in the Inventory organization, the Senior Manager, Inventory Movement will be a critical connection point between Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Stores to understand their individual needs and responsibilities in transfer activities and establish systems and processes that will collectively advance our capability. This role will also be a key partner for our Product Management and Technology teams, as we work to deliver stronger inventory visibility and traceability across inventory movement – aligning the physical, logical and financial inventory signals. You will have broad exposure throughout the enterprise and enormous impact to the business, driving change over the short, medium and long term.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $126,500-$210,000 annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
