Description
Amazon Web Services seeks a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the World-Wide Specialist Organization supporting Business Development & Strategy for Games on AWS. This is an opportunity to accelerate the adoption of Amazon’s game-focused services, including Amazon GameLift, AWS’s managed cloud hosting solution built specifically for multiplayer games.
In this role, you will join the team supporting our existing games footprint by identifying and engaging the top 150 gaming studios worldwide. You will compile a target list through data-driven analysis and outreach leveraging your gaming expertise and industry connections. In this role, you will work cross-functionally across teams while evangelizing Games on AWS differentiated capabilities to account executives and gaming sales teams. A growing number of customers outside of games are leveraging real-time technology to build interactive solutions and we want you to help identify and drive adoption towards our services. You will inform product roadmaps, enhance gaming studio adoption, drive integrated cloud solutions, and amplify market awareness with customer segments.
In this customer-facing role, you will collaborate with AWS account managers to navigate intricate game development pipelines and sales cycles. Creating robust feedback loops with gaming customers and studios is a core practice for this role. You will orchestrate customer meetings with the Games service teams to contextualize feedback based on broader market trends, research, and benchmarking analysis. These insights will directly influence the product roadmap and technical priorities for the service.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate extensive knowledge of the global cloud gaming ecosystem, as well as significant experience crafting go-to-market strategies that drive adoption in complex enterprise sales cycles. You have cultivated executive-level relationships with decision makers at leading gaming studios and hold a pulse on emerging technical architectures that influence product roadmaps. You understand the game development process and how our services integrate into game engines. You have leveraged market, competitive, and customer insights to formulate strategies that accelerated the growth of cloud infrastructure or gaming platforms. Exceptional analytical abilities paired with communication skills that advocate complex insights across stakeholder groups is essential. Passion for advancing innovation in the gaming industry through both business development and technology comes naturally.
As the gaming industry continues to evolve, this role demands continuously monitoring emerging technologies and innovations. You will establish and follow a structured competitive analysis framework to deeply understand vendor positioning and use those inputs to guide strategy and roadmap for maximum impact.
Key job responsibilities
• Pursue expansion of AWS’s Games footprint by engaging the top 150 gaming studios worldwide. Leverage persona expertise, industry connections and events to compile target list.
• Collaborate with AWS account managers to navigate complex gaming pipelines. Implement methodology to categorize opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
• Craft robust feedback loops with gaming customers and studios to influence product roadmaps and technical priorities.
• Continuous monitoring of industry trends and systematic competitive analysis ensures strong product-market fit.
• Travel to customer studios and relevant industry events to support customer engagement with our Games services.
• Provide detailed customer signal to inform Service Team product roadmaps and feature development.
• Conduct regular training sessions to educate AWS account executives and gaming sales teams on service functionality, use cases, and customer value propositions. Equip them to identify opportunities with top gaming accounts and jointly execute priority customer workshops and workbacks.

Basic Qualifications
6+ years in business development or sales, with experience in the cloud infrastructure or gaming industries
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior technology executives at leading gaming studios
Excellent communication, strategic planning, analytical, and execution skills
BS/MS degree in Business, Technology or related field
Solid understanding of game development pipelines, processes, and issues.
Proven ability to train and enable field sales teams to maximize partner leverage for specialized cloud solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years in business development or sales, with experience in the cloud infrastructure or gaming industries
Game development or production experience
MBA degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
