AWS Finance seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support Amazon Connect services, which are some of our newest services enabling customer engagements space, including ML-powered and Gen-AI capabilities. This position will work closely with senior finance management and key business partners to drive product/service pricing, cost and capital expenditure optimization, financial planning, decision support, and controllership.

Key job responsibilities

  • Support modeling efforts for pricing decisions and infrastructure investment decisions in the nascent and Gen-AI powered end-user applications space

  • Develop business insights and KPI dashboards

  • Compile and review financial results and operational plans and communicate results to company leaders

  • Lead key analytical projects that assist and influence the business

A day in the life

  • Reports and key metrics ownership such as P&L, MBR and WBRs

  • Develop business insights and KPI dashboards

  • Compile and review financial results, create forecast and operational plans and communicate to finance/business leaders

  • Support modeling efforts for pricing, product strategy and infrastructure investment decisions

About the team

Amazon Connect is one of the fastest growing AWS services and a leader in the cloud contact center and customer engagement space. The connect finance team works closely with the business, Go-to-market and engineering organizations to support business strategic decisions, monitor business and financial health, and drive operational improvements and cost savings.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

  • 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
