As a senior communications manager supporting the CFO organization, you will be responsible for amplifying the work of the function through the development and execution of effective communication and engagement approaches. Partnering closely with the CFO, Finance leaders, Public Affairs (Corporate Communications) and cross-functional communicators, you will develop an integrated communications strategy that ensure communication materials/moments from Finance leaders provide clarity, consistency and authentically connect with their intended audience.

As a senior communications manager in our Finance team, you will…

  • Develop and lead executive internal communications for Starbucks chief financial officer and the finance leadership team.

  • Define and execute an integrated communications strategy to engage partners on CFO initiatives designed to enhance their partner experience. Collaborate with finance leaders to identify key messages, tactics, and timelines.

  • Lead content creation for key finance meetings and forums (CFO townhall, director & above meetings, other function wide meetings, etc.) by integrating ongoing business operations within the CFO organization.

  • Manage relationships with variance internal groups to develop the overall strategies and processes for completing communications work, including written communications, and in-person / broadcast forums.

  • Support finance leaders and their functions, including global teams, to produce consistent communications materials and plans which align to finance content strategy and calendar.

  • Participate in a cross-functional team of change managers, communicators, and finance partners to maintain continuous engagement around the CFO organization.

  • Communications planning and management, including partnering with C-Suite level leaders 5-7 years

  • Leading and organizing cross-functional groups, 5-7 years

  • Relationship management with external vendors and business partners, 7 years

  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills, 7 years

  • Strong finance acumen, 5 years

  • Strategic planning and execution, 5 years

  • Leading teams remotely, 3-5 years

  • Communications and/or finance degree preferred

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
