Amazon Senior Business Analyst, Selling Partner Growth, Selling Partner Experience in Seattle, Washington

Amazon seeks an experienced Sr. Business Analyst to serve as a senior contributor on the Selling Partner Experience (SPX) Finance team supporting the Selling Partner Growth organization. As business team has evolved with multiple programs driving WW GMS, we need to scale financial planning, forecasting, and reporting models to ensure visibility into the program performance. The Sr. Business Analyst will focus on business decision support analysis and reporting which requires advanced SQL skills. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to provide strategic guidance, overall finance, controllership, operational, and leadership support in this exciting and evolving space.

Key job responsibilities

  • Oversee financial reporting for your business area. Understand input drivers and validate integrity of the reporting to influence strategic decision-making and planning. Use data to identify disruptive ideas and provide advice to business leaders across the globe.

  • Drive business decision support analysis utilizing advanced SQL skills.

  • Build financial model, sensitivity analysis and provide recommendations for new business initiatives.

  • Build and drive planning, forecasting, and reporting models.

  • Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written recommendations.

  • Use active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Adjust style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly. Your communications drive critical business decisions.

  • Become an expert in your lane to contribute to work-life harmony. You are a positive, collaborative, and effective influencer to new team members and model operations excellence and efficiency.

A day in the life

The Senior Business Analyst will drive business decision analysis, reporting and have solid SQL and financial modeling skills. We are looking for a candidate with solid SQL experience, analytical skills, pricing modeling skills, strong bias for action, superb customer focus, and the ability to communicate with and influence business leadership.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

  • Experience with Excel

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced SQL and Excel experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
