Blue Origin LLC SEIT Lead - Integrated Space Vehicle in Seattle, Washington

The role is part of the In-Space Systems business unit, which is focused on development, manufacturing, and operation of satellite systems to address one of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space mobility. As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, you will provide leadership across the space vehicle organization, working across the space vehicle team to integrate core bus capabilities with a wide variety of customer payloads and missions. You will be responsible for the full systems engineering lifecycle, culminating in delivery of a fully verified space vehicle for integration with ground and launch systems. Responsibilities: Primary technical lead for delivery of an integrated-vehicle solution, including integrated bus and hosted or separable payloads Work across Bus and Payload organizations to lead the full-lifecycle of integrated vehicle development, including design, implementation, build, test of integrated vehicle solution Responsible for leading the technical vehicle level performance metrics and modeling to support environmental qualification Own delivery of technical data products to customers, as well as internal and external partners Develop and mature the "space" portion of space to ground interface, and work with ground and end-to-end engineering to meet interface requirements Minimum Qualifications: B.S. in Aerospace, Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related technical subject area 15+ years of Technical Experience developing advanced space solutions Strong background developing space vehicle requirements, and interface definitions, test planning, and system verification Demonstrated experience leading vehicle integration and verification activities Strong background in vehicle level performance and environmental compliance analysis Proven experience throughout mission design lifecycle from conceptualization through operational flight Outstanding customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet bold timelines with efficient solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
