The Eye Institute OR RN supports surgical practices within the practices by providing care across the continuum including pre-anesthesia assessments, pre-procedure phone calls, patient intake, circulating cases pre- and post-operative care and teaching.

What we do at UW Medicine Eye Institute Operating Room:

  • Eye surgery- cataract, glaucoma procedures

  • Oculofacial plastic and orbital surgery Requirements:

  • Have/obtain Washington state nursing license

  • Two or more years nursing experience

  • Current BLS

  • Operating room or recovery room experience

  • Have/obtain ACLS

  • In addition, position will be required to make post op phone calls as needed
