Blue Origin LLC Receiving Inspector II - Second Shift in Seattle, Washington

This team is focused on monitoring and assessing processes that guide Blue Origin design, manufacture, and operations, ensuring system safety engineering, environmental health and safety, product integrity and continuous improvement processes serve the Blue Origin Mission and Vision. As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will execute receiving inspection methodologies to support the manufacture, assembly, and test for various spaceflight systems. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. Receiving Inspector II- B shift Responsibilities: Inspect material per inspection plan such as dimensions, part marking and traceability. Review all supplied documentation for conformance per engineering requirements. Perform review of first articles and conduct receiving inspections. Provide feedback to engineers and buyers with dimensional data. Document, track, and complete discrepancy reports. Provide inspection time estimates. Assist with maintaining and tracking all inspection equipment calibrations. Contribute to process improvements. Maintain configuration control on files and job records. Safely work within an industrial environment. Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years experience in receiving or dimensional inspection of aerospace components. Intermediate GD&T comprehension per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard. Excellent communication skills. Fluent in the use of precision hand tools, gages, optical comparator, and surface plate work. Ability to select the correct tool for the inspection task Familiar with the use of personal computers. Self-motivation and ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Ability to support Tuesday-Friday from 3pm-130am Desired Inventory system knowledge Purchase order system management Basic machining knowledge Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware Outside processing knowledge (heat treat, plating, coating, EDM, grinding, etc.) Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $27.61-$37.60 Other site ranges may differ Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
