Amazon Program Manager, Developer Relations in Seattle, Washington

Description

Amazon Web Services seeks a Program Manager to join a creative, experienced and energetic organization that is responsible for helping to drive the development and adoption of AWS services at scale. We are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a deep passion for Developers and other Hands-on Builders. The successful candidate will have experience creating and executing communication strategies and internal enablement activities across diverse, global teams. They will work with stakeholders across the business on programs that aim to raise awareness of AWS developer programs internally and externally, and on initiatives to increase team cohesion and collaboration. They will be creative, innovative and ready to push boundaries beyond the status quo.

The successful candidate will be able to plan ahead, manage time and priorities effectively, and distill large amounts of information into digestible, visual formats. They will be highly-organized, extremely resourceful, will have attention to detail, and a can-do ownership attitude.

Key job responsibilities

  • Program and stakeholder management, organizational and reporting support for Developer Relations efforts

  • Drive execution of technical content strategies for written, video and audio channels, and other

  • Drive forward and create internal communications strategies and plans

  • Work with vendors to complement content with engaging, effective, and visual assets for multiple channels including social media, website, email newsletters, video, infographics, meetings, and events

  • Scale the impact of Developer Advocates efforts by owning execution tasks related to Developer Relations driven content quality and awareness programs

  • Invent and simplify new ways to improve interactions with the community and customers, leverage automation to reduce duplicate efforts, improve content production workflows, streamline reporting and measurement of efforts

  • Look for opportunities to drive efficiencies on processes to better serve community and customers

  • Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve program initiatives for technical audiences, backed by customer feedback, nurturing and growing technical communities through content channels

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • 2+ years of vendor management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
