Carnival Cruise Line Program Manager, Business Continuity Planning - Hybrid in Seattle, Washington

We’re looking for an amazing Program Manager, Business Continuity Planning to fill this role, which is based in our Seattle or Miami offices. You’ll be responsible for leading the modernization of our business continuity plan and program for the Holland America and Seabourn brands. This role will lead and facilitate the development, maintenance, and continual improvement of this critical governance area. You’ll collaborate with IT leadership and stakeholders, business department leadership and stakeholders, internal and external audit teams, and global security teams. In addition, this position may also partner with sister brands for which Holland America IT is responsible for application management. You will lead brand specific BCP program development and execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, industry best practices and global standards and policies. This role is crucial in ensuring the continuity and resilience of our organization during unexpected disruptions or crises.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of modernized Business Continuity Plan (BCP) in partnership with business departments that aligns with our organizational goals and industry best practices.

  • Lead development of enhanced Business Continuity Program, including internal standards, charters, processes, and requirements ensuring compliance with global standards and policies.

  • Lead the coordination of annual drills for assessment of BCP capabilities by leading cross-functional teams to ensure the development and testing of business continuity plans for critical business functions and systems.

  • Maintain all critical BCP documentation pertaining to process, plans, requirements, and business contacts.

  • Define project scopes, objectives, deliverables, and timelines for all BCP brand projects in coordination with stakeholders.

  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management and executive leadership on the status of the business continuity program and projects.

  • Develop and facilitate training and awareness programs to ensure all stakeholders understand their roles and responsibilities for BCP. Plan and lead annual drills and exercises for assessment of BCP capabilities testing of business continuity plans for critical business functions and systems.

  • Lead the response and recovery efforts during incidents, ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to minimize the impact on the organization's operations and reputation.

  • Monitor and evaluate emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes related to business continuity management, and make recommendations for enhancements to the program as necessary

  • Partner and foster relationships with both internal and external leadership and stakeholders, including audit and global information security team for plan and program development, maintenance, annual testing and remediation activities.

  • Supports assessment and implementation of BCP technical tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree -Technology Management or Business Administration

  • 4 - 6 years’ experience in business continuity planning (BCP)

  • Strong knowledge of business continuity management trends, current events, and industry standards and frameworks

  • Experience in developing and implementing business continuity plans and strategies within a complex organizational structure

  • Professional certifications in business continuity management, such as CBCP or MBCI, are highly desirable

  • Solid computer skills foundation, including PowerPoint skills Project Management and resource management experience.

  • Project Management experience.

  • Prior experience developing and delivering presentations to leadership and executives.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence and communicate across all business levels.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, strong analytical ability and the ability to decipher and understand team dynamics.

  • Must be able to adapt to quickly changing situations

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).

  • Base Salary Range: $105,200.00 to $142,000.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
