As part of a diverse and hardworking team of technicians, you will assist in general duties for chemical processing and precision cleaning of hardware for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of propulsion module, engine, and subassembly manufacturing! The Cleaning, Passivation, and Verification Lab is a critical part of the company's Operations team. An assistant in this role will perform daily tasks including: Provide general assistance around the shop, including administrative and technical tasks. Assist with shop loading and work kit preparation. Stock raw materials in appropriate quantities. Clean and maintain equipment as directed. Make sure workers and technicians have the tools necessary to complete their assigned tasks. Serve as a liaison between manufacturing teams, production control, research and development, and engineering. Provide assistance to shop managers, supervisors, leads, engineers, and quality as needed. Use basic hand tools and measuring equipment. Package accepted hardware and supplies for storage or shipment. Work safely around chemicals, compressed air, pneumatics, heavy machinery, etc. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required! Qualifications: Mechanical aptitude. Familiarity with basic hand tools. Capacity to analyze a situation and prioritize tasks. Strong verbal communication skills. Physically capable of standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 30 pounds. High school diploma or GED equivalent Ability to support the following production work schedule: Shift C: Fri-Sun 5:00am-6:00pm Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired: High performance in early academic chemistry or engineering courses. Ability to use powered industrial trucks such as a pallet jack or forklift.
