Mott MacDonald Group Principal Project Manager - Bus Rapid Transit in Seattle, Washington

As a result of our continued success, Mott MacDonald is looking to welcome an additional bus rapid transit (BRT) Principal Project Manager to our team to work on exciting projects which improve mobility for people in Washington state. As a BRT project manager, you'll be tasked with: Undertaking the PMC role for major BRT projects from concept to final design Coordinating and ensuring performance of multi-disciplinary teams of expert consultants from different organizations, including but not limited to Traffic Engineers, Transportation Planners, Civil Engineers, Traffic Signal Designers, Design QA/QC Engineers, Communications and Technology Engineers, BRT Specialists and Project Control Specialists Resolving conflicts, securing buy-in from stakeholders with differing agendas, and ensuring that equity is central to decision making Coordinating development of bid and contract documents Advising clients during construction Leading efforts on environmental review, permitting, and right-of-way negotiations Driving value for money for clients and ensuring profitability for Mott MacDonald Acting as a role model and ambassador for Mott MacDonald's junior team members; articulating and representing the brand, vision and value proposition internally and externally Nurturing an innovative, challenging, collaborative and high performing work environment, which supports and fosters the Mott MacDonald values and culture where results are driven by a total team effort The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within the transportation market along with having the following candidate specifications (preferred candidates will possess the following): Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university 15+ years' relatable experience in management of transit projects/programs, a significant part of which will include BRT State of Washington Professional Engineer license is highly desirable An accomplished team leader, able to work on own initiative Enthusiastic and ambitious with the desire to help grow Mott MacDonald's transit portfolio in the Pacific Northwest Willingness to contribute towards projects outside the BRT / transit industry as needed Excellent verbal and written communication skills PMI PMP (or equivalent) qualified Our teams are comprised of bright and enthusiastic people who wish to make a difference to the world that we live in.
