Amazon Principal Product Manager - Tech, Amazon in Seattle, Washington

We are seeking a Principal Product Manager - Technical to join the Store Foundational AI team (Amazon Rufus parent org) to lead the development of a new AI first platform Amazon-X in Amazon that will refine how does tens of thousands of Amazonian work day by day. Amazon-X will fundamentally change how do we leverage data and ML techniques to build and test features for improving Amazon customer shopping experience.

Key job responsibilities

In this position, you will play a pivotal role defining product requirements and go-to-market strategy. This role will require coordination across many internal teams and will be visible at the highest levels of the company. You’ll work with our customers, partners, software vendors, and operational stakeholders to prioritize roadmap features, and spearhead the definition of the key capabilities through expertly crafted business requirements documents.

A day in the life

Weekly, you'll work with customers, analyze metrics, write documents like PRFAQs and BRDs, collaborate with teams on product decisions, and work with partners in areas like solution architecture and legal. Think strategically, envision possibilities, and stay curious about emerging tech, growth strategies, and market trends. Daily, you'll work with teams crucial to SFAI's success, including leadership, engineers, experts in business and sales, marketing, advocates, data scientists, and content writers. Meet with customers to understand strengths and weaknesses, synthesize feedback with industry knowledge and data to create strategies and test hypotheses.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred

  • Well developed analytical skills and experience setting up experiments and analyzing results

  • Experience owning customer-facing product roadmap strategy, quantifying and prioritizing features, and making high judgement decisions that are well articulated to senior leaders

  • Strong earns trust and experience influencing cross-functional teams and senior leadership

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Large Language Model based product management experience

  • Search/Ads ML project management experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
