Amazon Portfolio Management Specialist , Workforce Staffing (WFS) in Seattle, Washington

Description

As the WFS organization continues to scale globally, there is a need for a dedicated Portfolio Management Specialist to provide centralized oversight and coordination across a diverse portfolio of strategic initiatives. In this role, you will serve as the "connective tissue" for the WFS North American and LATAM organization, ensuring alignment of the organization's priorities and operational cadence.

As the central hub for portfolio management, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive visibility, coordination, and successful delivery of the organization's most critical initiatives, pilots, and programs. This centralized position will act as the strategic partner, aligning global teams and ensuring the seamless implementation of transformative workstreams across the organization. By establishing this role, you will be instrumental in addressing key challenges the organization faces, such as fragmented visibility into interdependencies and risks, misaligned priorities across teams, and operational inefficiencies. Through your leadership, you will drive greater transparency, alignment, and successful delivery of the organization's most important investments.

Navigating this high-complexity position will require you to collaborate with a diverse array of stakeholders, including project/program managers, business operations, technology enablement, and regional teams – each with their own priorities and constraints. You will be responsible for balancing strategic and tactical priorities, maintaining a comprehensive view of the organization's portfolio while also supporting the day-to-day execution of individual initiatives.

As the organization's strategic focus and initiatives evolve, you will need to continuously update processes, tools, and reporting to ensure relevance and effectiveness. You will need to drive change and adoption of new portfolio management practices without direct authority over the teams and resources you manage. This will require exceptional influencing skills, strong communication abilities, and a strategic mindset to successfully navigate our environment.
