The UW Medical Center Oto, Head and Neck Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Patient Care Coordinator (Full-Time Days) . The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) is responsible for coordinating the delivery of medical care, as formulated by UWMC physicians or their designee, and the patient’s access to various health care services.
WORK SCHEDULE
Tuesday- Friday; 80% FTE
0800-1630 or 0830-1700 POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

Close proximity to public transportation RESPONSIBLITIES
Schedules surgeries for the providers assigned to you in the clinic (split up by sub-specialty in OTO)
Completes pre-admit in EPIC and makes sure the surgery is placed on the Snap Board
Schedule patient appointments such as pre-op and post-op appointments that are coordinated with surgery along with any additional imaging appointments that may need to be made prior to surgery
Responsible to communicate any cancellations or changes to the OR schedule to the surgeon and filling OR time if a surgery is postponed or cancelled.
Schedules and communicates pre-op planning and post-op preparation to patient. Sends surgery letter and other information to patients
Manages OR block time. Releases block time and requests add-on time through OR Marketplace as needed
