The Department of Neurology has an outstanding opportunity for a Program Coordinator (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv) (0.5 FTE) to join their team.
This is a part-time (0.5 FTE) grant-supported Project Coordinator position in University of Washington’s Department of Neurology. The position is supervised by Dr. Jeffrey Carroll and entails coordinating and managing a large-scale grant-funded project.
This person will be in charge of communicating with internal and external collaborators (phone, email, Webex), tracking project milestones using Asana and/or Microsoft Project, assisting primary investigator with assigning and tracking tasks and record keeping relevant to project management responsibilities. Semi-annual travel to funding agency meetings will be required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Obtain quotes and place orders as requested by laboratory staff
Create and update project timelines (quarterly & monthly)
Coordinate timelines & deadline with external collaborators
Coordinate meeting schedules and calendars
Create progress report templates (2x per year)
Invoicing and auditing
Track spending and audit against approved budget
Semi-annual travel to east coast (2-3 days, 2x per year) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Exposure to scientific laboratory setting - in scientific or nonscientific role
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Drive products
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in neuroscience, biology, or related field
One or more years of full-time lab experience
Project management experience
