OPPORTUNITY UW MEDICAL CENTER - NORTHWEST - SPORTS THERAPY has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time, day shift, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST / CERTIFIED HAND THERAPIST. WHAT WILL YOUR DAY LOOK LIKE?
The Hand Therapist will provide services to patients using specialized skills, including assess, plan, administer, evaluate and provide safe hand therapy.
This will include progression of treatment goals and patient and family education.
Assess and treat a patient caseload ranging from routine to complex patient problems and situations.
Collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of patient care from admission to discharge.
Implement treatment programs, which include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, fabrication of orthoses, and evidence-based utilization of physical agents.
Instruct, assign work and evaluate students as assigned by supervisor.
The Therapist acts as a resource within the Exercise Training Center. WHAT’S NEEDED?
Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
Completion of American Occupational Therapy Association certification examination
18 months of professional occupational therapy experience OR equivalent education/experience. WHAT’S DESIRED?
Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) highly preferredLICENSE REQUIRED
Licensed by the state of Washington as an Occupational Therapist or have a valid probational certificate issued by the state of Washington to practice occupational therapy.ABOUT US
