Job Description

This company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Manufacturing Planner.

The Supply Chain Engineering team is responsible for providing world class engineering support and parts to ensure the successful operations of our Commercial and Government customers.

  1. Supporting Airline Customer Requirements:
  • Collaborate with airline customers to address their needs related to parts management within the supply chain.
  1. Validating Parts and Documentation:
  • Ensure that parts are FAA certified, document part interchangeability, and create preferred part configurations for spares.

  • Coordinate with Engineering and communicate with customers to clarify orders.

  1. Analyzing Engineering Drawings and Specifications:
  • Review and analyze engineering drawings and specifications to understand part requirements.
  1. Procuring and Processing Parts:
  • Handle both vendor and proprietary parts, including procurement, transfer, and processing.
  1. Addressing Interchangeability Issues:
  • Work closely with Engineering to address any interchangeability challenges.
  1. Supplier Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with suppliers to determine part configurations for interim part numbers.
  1. Maintaining Supplier Specifications:
  • Create and maintain supplier specification plans and shallow Bill of Material (BOM) in PDM and CAPP systems.

  • Cover proprietary, vendor, standards, GSE, and raw material part numbers.

  1. Fabrication Processes and Tooling:
  • Determine the processes required to fabricate parts (both metallic and non-metallic).

  • Assess tooling requirements for part fabrication and identify workarounds if needed.

  1. Working Independently:
  • Operate under general direction while fulfilling responsibilities.
