Amazon Manager, Program Management, Supply Chain, WW Sustainability in Seattle, Washington

Description

Join us at the cutting edge of Amazon's sustainability initiatives to work on environmental and social advancements to support Amazon's long term worldwide sustainability strategy. At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people.

The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization capitalizes on Amazon’s scale and speed to build a more resilient and sustainable company. We manage our social and environmental impacts globally, and drive solutions that enable our customers, businesses, and the world to become more sustainable.

Amazon co-founded The Climate Pledge, our commitment to reach net-zero carbon across our global operations by 2040. As part of the Worldwide Environment team, Amazon's Worldwide Carbon team is dedicated to working across the company with our business units to make operational changes to accelerate solutions and decarbonize our businesses in service of The Climate Pledge.

The Supplier Decarbonization Team is looking for a Senior Program Manager to work closely across business and procurement teams to align supplier and Amazon sustainability goals and mechanize carbon-aware supplier selection. If you see yourself as somebody who has a passion for sustainability, teaching and training teams, and building a culture of sustainability, we’d like to meet you. Your work will help us build the most sustainable supply chain in the world.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will own the program essential for managing the implementation of our Supply Chain Standards across our business and procurement partners.

This implementation includes training, development and hands-on coaching to integrate carbon target setting, data collection, and action into Amazon's supplier-facing processes.

You will work backwards from customer requirements and create solutions which will cater to those requirements in the most efficient and scalable way. You will lead discovery to capture clear user stories that can be translated into new program objectives and plans.

Key job responsibilities

-

Translating Supply Chain Standards into selection criteria and buying plans for BUs and procurement teams

-

Partner stakeholders from procurement, social responsibility, legal, finance, and business operations to design carbon trainings for supplier risk profiling and selection criteria

-

Create new information sharing programs and track associated metrics with the ultimate goal of decreasing supplier-based emissions for our purchased goods and services.

-

Managing the SCS implementation program life cycle from planning to tactical execution

-

Launching the vision, program strategy and roadmap for training with key stakeholders in the company to deliver on that vision
